Regional Sales Manager – Western Region
Second Wind is a venture-backed wind energy technology company that develops wind data products that are used in over 40 countries worldwide. Last year, the company commercialized the Triton Sonic Wind Profiler, a revolutionary remote sensing system for wind project developers, owners and operators.
We are looking for a highly motivated and proven Regional Sales Manager to join the team responsible for increasing the Second Wind’s sales of the Triton Sonic Wind Profiler in North America.
The Regional Sales Manager will operate from a home office located within the Western Region sales territory, with 75% expected travel. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team performer with the discipline and experience to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Aggressively develop new and existing sales accounts.
- Identify opportunities where Triton deployments will add value to customers’ operations.
- Close business from a range of customers including, w ind project developers, investor- owned utilities (including their non-regulated subsidiaries), municipal utilities, wind industry services providers, universities, industrial enterprises, and communities.
- Represent Second Wind at conferences and trade shows within the service territory.
- Coordinate activities with the company’s Triton sales team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of proven consultative sales experience within the Western Regional market in the renewable energy sector.
- Wind energy experience required.
- Experience working with a wind project developer highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate scientific and engineering concepts in renewable energy required.
- Self-motivated team-oriented performer who has the discipline and experience to work remotely.

Sales Associate
Second Wind is a venture-backed wind energy technology company that develops wind data products that are used in over 40 countries worldwide. Last year, the company commercialized the Triton Sonic Wind Profiler, a revolutionary remote sensing system for sale to wind project developers, owners and operators.
We have an immediate need for an entry-level Sales Associate to harness this opportunity. In this role you will provide a wide range of sales support duties as well as market and sell our products by making initial sales calls to customers and screening selling opportunities. This is a growth opportunity where the right person will have the opportunity to quickly advance into a position with a higher level of responsibility and sales management opportunity.

- Makes outbound lead generation calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Builds and maintains customer relationships.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into qualified sales opportunities.
- Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
- Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
- Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules.
- Prepares reports of business transactions.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in business, marketing or related discipline.
- 0-2 years of customer focused experience. Telesales experience highly desirable.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of professionalism and “can do” attitude to respond to customer inquiries and/or address customer needs.
- Strong computer proficiency, especially in MS Office.
- Displays drive, energy, enthusiasm and confidence.
- Must be US Citizen or green card holder. Salary commensurate with experience. Only local candidates will be considered.
