Pacific Salmonid Recovery Conference 2009

From October 28th through the 30th, the Warren G. Magnuson Park in Seattle Washington will be the site for the 2009 Pacific Salmonid Recovery Conference.  Hosted by the NorthWest Environmental Training Centre, the event will focus on science, policy, assessment, restoration and monitoring aspects relating to the Pacific Salmonid population.  With their habitat continuing to see degradation and their stocks depleted, this is an important regional event on this important topic.

This conference targets biologists, ecologists, planners, engineers, regulators, Indigenous tribal representatives, research scientists, lawyers, elected officials, land owners, and nonprofit groups.  The admission fee is $450 for all 3 days, or $250 per day.  The main topics are scheduled as follows: Day One – New Science, Population Status, and Recent Developments; Day Two – Habitat and Population Assessment and Monitoring; and Day Three – Restoration Science, Criteria and Technologies.

In addition to the lecture/speaking sessions, there will also be an exhibition area where groups and companies may present their latest work or products.  For more information on the detailed schedule, to become an exhibitor, to submit a poster, or to register for the event, please visit http://nwetc.org/bio-500_10-09_seattle.htm
