Green Building Engineers certification by the AEE

In 2005 AEE developed the Green Building Engineer (GBE™) certification. According to Robert Sauchelli, National Program Manager, ENERGY STAR, “The establishment of the GBE™ makes it easier to identify individuals with the knowledge of energy efficiency principles and practices to help improve building energy performance. The Green Building Engineer certification, which requires professional engineers to have energy management certification, will be an important resource for building owners looking to validate their Statement of Energy Performance and apply for the ENERGY STAR.  EPA is pleased to work with AEE on this important effort.”
