High School Science Goes Green

Every Earth Day, students’ minds are turned to environmental issues. Those students across the U.S. enrolled in the Lincoln Interactive Cutting Edge Science (CES) program had the opportunity to participate in a discussion on alternative energy technology in a videoconference with Dr. Cynthia Welch, a polymer scientist with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

First Choice Power today announced that it will award more than $50,000 in Reduce Your Use Grants™ to nonprofits, schools and chambers of commerce to fund energy-efficient programs and upgrades. The recipients applied for grants in the winter grant cycle which ran from February to March.
