There is a new solar center being built in Florida by Florida Power and Light. Dubbed the Desoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center it will be constructed on 180 acres using 90,000 photo-voltaic panels generating 25 Megawatts of electricity providing more than 3000 homes with power.

The Obama Adminstration has announced support for increasing the nation’s energy efficiency and reducing consumption fossil fuels through conservation efforts while creating new Green jobs.
