The State government announced today that they have developed a Road-map to significantly increase renewable energy generation in New York. The road-map outlines recommendations for more solar energy, funding the state’s program to get 25 percent of it’s electricity from renewable energy, and new business incentives to attract renewable energy companies and create “green” jobs .

In the United States today there are approximately 800 wind turbine technicians maintaining systems that were installed as of 2007. It is estimated based on the current rate of wind power installations that the nation will require an additional 800 technicians by March of 2009.
