Redfish School Of Change Brings Leadership To Canadian Communities

In this time of environmental and economic uncertainty, and need for exceptional leadership, the Redfish School of Change is preparing to take its first sixteen participants in the field, for the future.

GreenLearning Canada, Pearson College, the University of Victoria and Shell have teamed up to launch a unique, experiential field school in environmental education.

“The Redfish School of Change is designed for young adults who have a passion for finding solutions to environmental and social challenges,” says Nadine Raynolds, Director of the School of Change. “The program will help them develop the capacity and confidence to lead their communities on the issues that matter most to them.”

World Energy and Global Climate Change: A problem for all generations

The current energy and global climate change problem is a problem for all generations. Boone Pickens plan for america may create thousands of new jobs in alternative energy technologies.On the Daily show recently Jon Stewart had as a guest T.Boone Pickens to talk about his new book. During his discussion with Jon Stewart and the audience he dramatically made the point that the Energy crisis is not his problem but rather a problem for today’s young people. Mr Boone’s meaning to me is clear being that he is over 80 years of age. Energy security, global climate change and the shortage of fossil fuels actually is a problem for all generations. The less successful we are at changing our society and solving these problems the worse it will be for each successive generation.

Green Politics Going Global – The New Economy

Even in these relatively gloom economic times, globally there are official “Green” political parties in over 90 countries. Why is this important? Because it means that “green” is becoming an increasingly important part of the mainstream politics, and therefore policies, of countries such as Canada, Germany, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, New Zealand, and even in the oil-rich Middle East.
